Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills Ltd. has decided to start its new unit near the city instead of Andhra Pradesh, as was previously intended due to severe power shortage. The total investment on the new unit will be around INR 1,400 million. The company already has a unit near Ramtek and the land for the new division is being acquired near it.
The company plans to commission the new unit by the end of 2014- 15.
