Capretta Properties Inc. made an offer to acquire substantially all of the real estate properties of Stratus Properties Inc. (NasdaqGS:STRS) for approximately $440 million in cash on January 22, 2016. The deal is subject to due diligence. The deal is not subject to any financing contingency. Carl E. Berg, an investor in Stratus Properties, urged the Board of Stratus Properties to accept the offer.
