Steelcast Limited announced unaudited standalone earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of INR 588.679 million against INR 340.267 million a year ago. Profit before exceptional items and tax was INR 53.894 million against loss of INR 2.298 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 53.894 million against INR 6.617 million a year ago. Profit for the period was INR 47.821 million against INR 7.488 million a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share (not annualized) were INR 2.37 against INR 0.37 a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported net sales of INR 1,607.994 million against INR 973.873 million a year ago. Profit before exceptional items and tax was INR 121.753 million against loss of INR 1.042 million a year ago. Profit before tax was INR 121.753 million against INR 7.873 million a year ago. Profit for the period was INR 115.918 million against INR 10.040 million a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share (not annualized) were INR 5.73 against INR 0.50 a year ago.
