State Bank of India has donated a school van, passenger elevator, solar hot water system and a physiotherapy equipment totally worth Rs 26.23 lakh to the special children at Sadhana Society for Mentally Handicapped, at IDA, Nacharam.

Chief General Manager of the bank Sasi Kumar said that during 2012-13, it had donated up to Rs 6 crore to various schools.

In the current fiscal the bank had donated Rs 1.23 crore to various organisations and Rs 4.93 crore to government schools.

The SBI Hyderabad Circle has a target of exceeding Rs 9 crore during the fiscal, he said.
