Square Enix is pulling further away from the cloud gaming market, shutting down its Shinra Technologies division after less than two years and a whopping loss of $16.8 million. The closure was confirmed by Square Enix saying 'STI (Shinra Technologies Incorporated), as a cloud platform operator, has been trying to raise funds necessary for further business operations from third party investors. However, STI has found no prospective investors at this point, and therefore has to discontinue its business.
