For the fourth consecutive year, SPX is donating a vehicle to be put up for bid at the premier auto auction with the proceeds going directly to St. Jude's annual fundraising efforts. The highest bidder will attain the SPX "Tailgater Special," an exclusive 2013 Ford F-150 King Ranch specially designed by Galpin Auto Sports. SPX has helped raise more than $600,000 for the organization in the past three years.

"SPX is pleased to continue its relationship with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and to have another opportunity to support its fundraising efforts in revolutionizing the treatment and prevention of children's catastrophic diseases," said Christopher J. Kearney, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of SPX. "We're also thankful for the great people at Barrett-Jackson, Galpin Auto Sports, and Ford Motor Company for joining forces with us on another meaningful project, and look forward to awarding this vehicle to the highest bidder in Scottsdale."

SPX called upon Galpin Auto Sports to modify this special edition 2013 Ford F-150 King Ranch, which has been optimized to deliver the ultimate tailgate experience wherever it may go. The extraordinary truck features a 40" LCD television at the front of the truck bed, along with 21" flip-down televisions on the sides of the bed cover, a stainless steel BBQ on a moving bed slide with an adjacent stainless steel sink, a portable power generator, premium exterior audio system with touch-screen controls, an Xbox 360 in the rear bed, a custom-painted cooler in the center of the slide for food and drinks, and premium wheels and tires.

"The team at Galpin Auto Sports has delivered an incredible truck with fantastic modifications that we believe will appeal to bidders while raising as much money as possible for a great cause," Kearney added.

The auction is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 18, and will be televised live on the Speed Channel Cable Network at approximately 8:30 p.m. Mountain time, 10:30 p.m. Eastern time.
