Date: 10th January 2012 | For Immediate Release |
Cleanevent, part of the Spotless Group of companies and the
specialist cleaners in the Sports, Leisure and entertainment
sectors, have just completed their first cleaning contract
with Nuffield Health at the Cambridge Hospital, representing
a major breakthrough for their UK business.
The Cambridge Hospital, operated by Nuffield Health as one of
their 31 private hospitals in the UK, was built on land
purchased by the great art philanthropist Charles Morland
Agnew from Trinity College Cambridge in 1921, and acquired by
Nuffield in 2003. The hospital has 46 beds and four operating
theatres, accommodating the practices of 200 consultants. The
hospitals main speciality is the treatment of cancer care and
they have recently been awarded the Macmillan Quality
Environment Mark for Cancer Care Facilities.
The work carried out by the team from Cleanevent included the
highly specialised cleaning of the two operating suites and
recovery rooms. Ian Stewart, the Theatre Services Manager for
Nuffield Cambridge Hospital, reported that post cleaning air
sampling revealed the hospital had recorded random air slit
samples to have outstanding results, with a Bacterial count
of less than half the acceptable levels and a zero Pathogen
count. "A remarkable result considering the extent and nature
of the maintenance works carried out prior to the clean".
This vitally important work was carried out to the very
highest standard and we are delighted to nominate Cleanevent
as an approved supplier
to Cambridge, and wish you well in gaining further hospitals
in 2012. I will certainly pass on my
recommendation to my Theatre Manager colleagues".
Colin Caulfield, Cleanevent Chief Operating Officer,
commented, "Spotless are one of the largest providers to the
healthcare industry in Australia, and as part of the Group,
we are delighted to have won our first contract in this
sector in the UK, especially one as prestigious as Nuffield
Health".
Cleanevent was founded in 1989 in Melbourne, Australia and
won its first contract at Flemington
Racecourse, home of the Melbourne Cup, a contract that they
still hold to this day. In 2000
Cleanevent set up a UK operation specialising in retail
(under the Cleandomain brand) and in Sports, Leisure and
Entertainment.
In 2010 Cleanevent was acquired by the Spotless Group, one of
Australia's integrated Facilities Management companies

security and catering to the LSE, Business, Industry,
