(NYSE: SWI), a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software, has released User Device Tracker (UDT) 2.0, a product for tracking where users or computers are connected to the network and switch port management. Network administrators have long had the ability to track existing connections with switch port mapping tools. The growth of new devices in the workplace, along with shared and public endpoints, has made it difficult to connect to both historical endpoint data and user information. With UDT, these additional data sets can help network administrators identify devices and users responsible for malicious behavior on the network, as well as simply aid users in finding lost devices.
