Societe Generale and Pegasus Airlines, the Turkish low-cost airline, announce that they have signed the first-ever aircraft-backed sustainability loan for export credit agency-guaranteed financing.

The loan, signed on December 22, will enable the airline to finance the acquisition of ten new Airbus A321neo aircraft, as part of its program to renew its fleet with greener aircraft.

The financing was arranged by Société Générale, and its terms have been indexed to Pegasus' achievement of two key sustainability performance indicators: the carbon intensity of flights and gender diversity in management positions.
