Snam S.p.A. Announces Executive Changes, Effective from November 26, 2012

Snam S.p.A. announced that it has appointed Carlo Malacarne as Chairman replacing Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, who resigned from office after being appointed as Chairman of the parent company Snam. The effective date is November 26, 2012.

Snam S.p.A. is the leading European operator in natural gas transport. The group also develops natural gas storage and regasification businesses. Net sales break down by activity as follows: - transport of natural gas (58.4%): owns, at the end of 2023, a network of around 38,000 km of pipelines (64.1 billion m3 transported in 2023); - storage of natural gas (13%); - regasification of liquefied natural gas (1.8%); - other (26.8%): development and management of energy efficiency projects and biogas and biomethane production units, gas compression services, location of fiber-optic cables, etc.
