ACCC CLEARANCE OF PROPOSED SCHEME OF ARRANGEMENT FOR VIRGIN AUSTRALIA TO ACQUIRE SKYWEST

Skywest, the Australian and South East Asia regional airline, wishes update the market regarding the status of a proposed scheme of arrangement between Skywest and Virgin Australia Holdings Limited.

Further to the announcements dated 30 October 2012 and 6 December 2012, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has announced today that it would not oppose the proposed acquisition of Skywest Airlines (Australia) Pty Ltd by Virgin Australia Holdings Limited.

The Company will update the market on further developments and the timing of the proposed
shareholder meeting to consider the scheme.
