Singapore, 3 January 2012 - SingPost celebrates the Lunar New Year with the release of the Dragon Zodiac stamp issue - the fifth of the 12 stamps in its Zodiac stamp series, which began in 2008 with the Year of the Rat. The powerful, flamboyant and magnanimous Dragon is depicted in this Dragon Zodiac stamp series in denominations of

1st local, S$0.65 and S$1.10.
Adding to the philatelic collection is the Collector's Sheet (S$16.80) that uses a special printing technique - offset printing with metallic ink and the UV varnish. One can view the Dragon and the outgoing zodiac animal, Rabbit on the S$5 stamp. The S$10 stamp features the same effect with the Dragon and the next year's zodiac animal, Snake.

Every Collector's Sheet comes with a free exclusive folder and a free pack of designer hongbaos featuring the Dragon stamp design and the Chinese character, 'Dragon' in several ancient styles, to get the stamp collectors into the festive mood.
Also available on sale are the Pre-cancelled First Day Cover affixed with the
complete set of Dragon stamps (S$2.75), the Presentation Pack (S$3.75) and the 1st Local self-adhesive sheetlet (S$2.55). All first day covers will be cancelled with a special Dragon
postmark.
