1. Current status of Noto Plant

  1. Status of production facilities
Production and processing operations have resumed at the production facilities in the

factory where damage was relatively minor. Processing tests are being carried out on the production facilities that were severely damaged after initial recovery, and we expect to complete recovery of most of the production facilities by the end of May. Going forward, we will continue to do our utmost to ensure a stable supply of products.

(2) Status of production system

As a result of working closely with our production bases, group production companies, suppliers, and production partner companies to advance partial alternative production, the supply system for our main products has been restored to the same level as during normal operation. In addition, we will work to restore the factory and increase the production capacity of group production companies and production partner companies, and proceed with building a production system that meets customer requests as much as possible.

(3) Status of the building and auxiliary facilities

The first repair work has been completed for the building and auxiliary facilities of the factory to make them ready for production activities, but secondary repair work is

scheduled to begin after June of this year. The construction period is expected to be about six months to eight months.

2. Impact on Future Business Performance

As announced in today's timely disclosure "Notice regarding the recording of extraordinary

losses (losses due to disasters) and revision of the full-year earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending May 2024," due to the "2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake" that occurred on January 1, 2024, we expect to record an extraordinary loss (loss due to disaster) of 373 million yen in our consolidated and individual financial statements for the fiscal year ending May 2024 as restoration costs for tangible fixed assets at our Noto Plant, losses on disposal of inventory, and other losses related to the disaster.
