MB Aerospace Newton Abbot Limited entered into an agreement to acquire Asian Compressor Technology Services Company Limited from Pratt & Whitney Company, Inc., SIA Engineering Company Limited (SGX:S59) and China Airlines Limited for $60 million on October 27, 2017. Pratt & Whitney Company, Inc. will sell 51% stake and SIA Engineering Company Limited and China Airlines Limited will sell 24.5% each in the transaction. SIA Engineering Company Limited will receive $14.7 million as consideration for the stake sold. Asian Compressor Technology Services Company Limited will trade as MB Aerospace ACTS (Taiwan) once legal completion has been finalized. The closing of the transaction shall be subject to the satisfaction (or waiver) of the conditions precedent contained in the agreement and is likely to be in January 2018. The transaction is expected to result in a gain of $10.5 million for SIA Engineering Company Limited for the financial year ending March 31, 2018. Michael T.
