Senex Energy announced revenue and capital expenditure results for the second quarter and capital expenditure for the six months ended December 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company has posted sales revenue of $18.1 million, down 36% from a year ago. The company's sales volume remained flat on the previous quarter at 0.26 million barrels of oil equivalent (mboe), and it said revenue was protected from falling oil prices by hedging contracts. For the quarter, the company produced 260,000 barrels of oil, with its major producing oilfields performing in line with expectations. The result was 4% down on the prior quarter, with natural field decline mostly offset by the contribution of wells brought on during the 2016 financial year.

For the first half, the company produced 540,000 barrels of oil equivalent in the first half.

The company provided operating guidance for the fiscal year 2016. The company expects to achieve its fiscal 2016 production guidance of 1.0 mboe to 1.2 mboe.
