Secuoya and Fabula create Secuoya Films: a new film production companyThe new business venture by Secuoya and brothers Pablo and Juan de Dios Larraín is a result of their confidence in a sector that offers many new opportunities for the audiovisual group.
Grupo Secuoya moves forward into cinema production in an area that will undertake large-scale national and international productions. Secuoya Films was born as a result of joining two forces: that of the audiovisual group and the Larraín brothers under the wing of their producer, Fabula, with whom Secuoya has maintained a successful business relationship for the past two years in Chile. Internationally renowned, prestigious filmmakers Pablo and Juan de Dios Larraín are, 'the best partners for the start of this new adventure by Grupo Secuoya', explains Raúl Berdonés, their president.
Pablo Larraín is the director of 'NO', 'The Club', 'Neruda' and has just released one of the most revealing films of the year, 'Jackie' which received three Oscar nominations.
As for Juan de Dios Larraín, he is the brain behind Fábula. Producer of 25 feature films, including 7 by his filmmaker brother, Juan is one of the most well-known figures in the Latin American and international market. With their headquarters in Madrid, the new company will undertake film production in Spain and co-productions in the international market, mainly for Latin America.
This new business venture by Secuoya is a result of their unwavering commitment to a sector whose current production and business characteristics are appealing to the audiovisual group. Secuoya takes this leap into the film industry given the current proximity that exists between film production and premium fiction. Secuoya's profile is now that of a company that covers the entire audiovisual spectrum, integrating production and generation of content using state-of-the-art technology for the implementation of important projects.
Given the favourable conditions for film production and the current financial structure of the film sector, Grupo Secuoya is able to gain access to it and develop a viable business model.
