The pub, which has been a neighbourhood establishment for 100 years, is in a sought after residential location. The property is comprised of a ground floor bar, beer garden and front terrace area. The nearby train stations of Nunhead and Brockley are within easy walking distance of The Waverley.

Under the new ownership the pub will offer fresh food with table service with a refurbishment planned for the summer. Alongside this The Waverley will offer Sunday roasts and theme nights including Fish Fridays and Pie and Pint for £10. A new weekend brunch will also hit the menu. Douglas Taucher who will run the pub previously held senior positions with both Faucet Inns and Livelyhood, before taking on The Waverley.
