U.S.-based Thread announced Tuesday that it has signed a five-year collaboration agreement with Sanofi, which it will help to build a modern, patient-centric clinical research infrastructure.

Under the terms of the agreement, Thread will become the sole provider of unified decentralized clinical trials (DCT) and electronic clinical outcomes assessment (eCOA) technologies to the French healthcare giant.

Thread's technology and services enable flexible, patient-centric and inclusive clinical trials by providing a seamless, interconnected digital experience for patients, investigators and sites throughout their study journey.

As a reminder, Sanofi has implemented a program called 'Act4Patients' to fundamentally reimagine clinical research across the development continuum to enable greater patient access to clinical research.

Through its decentralized research platform, Thread helps biopharmaceutical companies and research institutions design next-generation research studies and electronic clinical outcomes assessment programs.
