salesforce.Com, Inc. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended October 31, 2019. For the third quarter, the company announced total revenue was USD 4,513 million compared to USD 3,392 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 65 million compared to USD 92 million a year ago. Net loss was USD 109 million compared to net income of USD 105 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was USD 0.12 compared to basic earnings per share of USD 0.14 a year ago. Diluted loss per share was USD 0.12 compared to diluted earnings per share of USD 0.13 a year ago.
For the nine months, total revenue was USD 12,247 million compared to USD 9,679 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 333 million compared to USD 398 million a year ago. Net income was USD 374 million compared to USD 748 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 0.46 compared to USD 1 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 0.45 compared to USD 0.97 a year ago.
Salesforce.com, Inc. is the world leader supplier of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software on request. Net sales by activity break down as follows:
- online subscriptions sale (92.6%): applications for computerizing the sale forces, optimizing the commercial data processing, managing the call centres, managing the relationship with the partners, etc.;
- professional services (7.4%): consulting, implementation and training services.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Americas (67.8%), Europe (22.8%) and Asia/Pacific (9.4%).
