SACYR CERTIFIES 'SUSTAINABLE RESTAURANT'
ACTIVITY WITH AENOR
AENOR presents the cafeteria at Sacyr's corporate headquarters with the "Sustainable Restaurant" certificate.
This is the first environmental and social sustainability certificate awarded to a restaurant by an accredited entity.
Madrid, June 7, 2024.- The cafeteria at Sacyr's corporate headquarters in Condesa de Venadito, 7, Madrid, has been awarded the 'Sustainable Restaurant' distinction by
AENOR.
This certificate assesses and endorses the organization's commitment to sustainability, providing healthy food options, and the fight against food waste.
The certification recognizes Sacyr's commitment, through its Deliquo restaurant brand, to develop a system that guarantees a healthy, sustainable, and environmentally friendly service, without losing sight of the customer, meeting the eight challenges established by the organization:
To obtain this certificate, Sacyr has included environmental and social responsibility in the actions it carries out from the moment of purchasing raw materials to the management of internal staff and customer awareness.
First certificate
This distinction is the first and only one in Spain endorsed by an accredited certification body and constitutes the standardized reference framework for categorizing environmental and social sustainability in public and community catering.
The fight against food waste is fundamental to the sustainability of the hospitality and food sectors, and the involvement of companies is key on the road to zero waste.
Deliquo is Sacyr's catering company under the Cafestore brand, that offers cafeteria and restaurant services in business parks and train stations since 2017.
