Saudi Arabian Fertilisers Company reported earnings results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported a 10.3% drop in quarterly earnings on lower Urea prices. The company made $305.2 million net profit, down from $340.1 million a year earlier.

Operating profit for the period also declined by 7% to $266.3 million from $292.93 million a year ago. Another reason for the weaker quarterly results was lower sales volume owing to factory maintenance.
