January 10, 2018On January 10, 1978, Soyuz launch vehicle was launched with Soyuz-27 manned spacecraft.
The spacecraft successfully docked to the first third-generation long-duration orbital station Salyut-6 on January 11.
Therefore, a visiting crew performed the first flight to the orbital station: for five days Soyuz-27 crew consisting of Vladimir Dzhanibekov and Oleg Makarov worked together with the prime long-duration crew of Salyut-6 station - cosmonauts Yuri Romanenko and Georgy Grechko. In addition, for the first time, two manned spacecraft were simultaneously docked to the orbital station.
