AACHEN (dpa-AFX) - The Aachen Administrative Court has ruled that the relocation of two vigils against the demolition of Lützerath is permissible in summary proceedings. A ban on staying and entering the Lützerath settlement has been in effect since Tuesday, the court announced on Thursday. In addition, RWE, as the owner of the land, was against holding demonstrations on its private property.

The new locations specified by the police within sight of the former village of Lützerath were proportionate and protected the right to demonstrate (Ref.: 6 L 25/23 and 6 L 26/23). An appeal against the urgent decisions is possible to the Higher Administrative Court in Münster.

The two vigils "No eviction of Lützerath" and "Leave the church(es) in the village" had been registered with Lützerath as the respective place of assembly./fc/DP/men
