Rostelecom deployed 5,000 kilometres of fibre-optic lines in Siberia in 2015. Over 610,000 households were covered there, using GPON and ETTH technologies to expand the grid. It said 130,000 households were passed in the Novosibirsk region, 103,000 households in the Irkutsk region and 100,000 households in the Kemerovo region.
