Position of energy services strengthened by acquisition of Neuhaus Energie SA Romande Energie Services SA is acting on its growth ambitions with the acquisition of Neuhaus Energie SA (Echandens), a firm offering heating, ventilation and air-conditioning solutions.

"Households, businesses, local authorities - all our customers nowadays expect us to provide services and installations for saving on their energy bills and generating their own electricity or heat from renewable sources," states Oliviero Iubatti, Head of Romande Energie Services SA.

Romande Energie Services, of the Romande Energie group of companies, was formed on 1 July 2016 specifically to meet this new type of demand. It offers a wide range of innovative turnkey solutions and other services, from PV and thermal solar energy, heating systems (including heat pumps and district heating) and ventilation to air-conditioning and electrical fixtures (lighting, home automation, telecommunications and IT).

Aiming for the top-three in energy services within Western Switzerland

To develop its multi-disciplinary expertise and achieve its ambition to be a top-three provider in Western Switzerland by 2020, Romande Energie Services also plans to grow by acquiring recognised companies, with a focus on specific regions and high-potential business activities.

With this objective in mind, it has acquired all the equity of Neuhaus Energie SA, a firm founded in 1914 and which today employs 40 staff members. It is based in Echandens, in Vaud canton. Most of its business is situated in Western Switzerland, specialising in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning solutions.

The company will retain its trade name, and its staff will continue to fulfil their responsibilities. "Neuhaus Energie's staff will work in close cooperation with our own teams to unlock growing synergies and enhance responsiveness for our clients," stresses Oliviero Iubatti. Following this acquisition, the headcount of Romande Energie Services will rise to over 150.
