Guangzhou, China, 31 December 2013. RIB Group signed its first global P8 deal with China Construction Forth Engineering Division Corp. Ltd, a core branch of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). From 2014, RIB will offer a global mass-market product for contractors and developers. P8 stands for a combination of iTWO software and iTWO Lab services.
The P8 product includes 8 concurrent user licenses, which can be used to run a BIM based 5D project or to run a BIM based 5D DOI (Developer, Owner, Investor) department. The P8 license can be used to run an iTWO lab or to execute an IT POC. The total cost for P8 based on a 100 Million USD project revenue is around 0,1% and includes the software license, the development of an iTWO pre-construction strategy, the configuration of the ITWO solution for the project or the company, the set-up of the iTWO controlling and the control tower, the iTWO user training and certification. The services will be delivered within 2 full week well prepared iTWO 5D LAB sessions. P8 license includes also 6 months free maintenance, on-site consulting man-days and back-office support.
Thomas Wolf, CEO of RIB Group, commented: "In Germany, RIB has today over 50,000 Mass Market users. With the P8 product & services, we will enter now next to the Germany into the international mass market in China, USA, India, South East Asia, Middle East and Australia/New Zealand. If 5 channel partners can sign over 20 P8 deals per year in each of our 6 international regions (USA, China, India, Middle East, South East Asia and Australia ANZ) per year with a net margin of 20,000 USD per deal in the future we can increase our 2013 profitability by over 100%.
In the last 3 years, RIB Group has focused only on the international top 1,000 AEC contractors and investor as key account clients. We will now focus on the top 1000 (Key Account iTWO Phase I, II and III deals) plus on the top 100,000 international projects and building departments (Mass-market P8 deals). We will start in 2014 to build the iTWO P8 channels for sales and consulting and will inform about P8 deals and about channel partner signing."
