Resolute ranks among Canada's Top 100 Corporate R&D Spenders for 2020, marking our tenth consecutive appearance on the annual list. Each year, Research Infosource Inc. profiles organizations committed to enhancing Canada's global competitiveness.

Identifying innovative uses for wood-derived materials has long been part of Resolute's business strategy. In 2020, Resolute announced plans to build a commercial plant specializing in the production of cellulose filaments - a sustainable, wood-derived biomaterial with a variety of uses - at our Kénogami (Quebec) paper mill. A third expansion at Toundra Greenhouse, an innovative cucumber-growing complex in which we hold a 49% interest, was also announced last year. These are just two examples of investments demonstrating Resolute's leadership in innovative development and the shift towards a circular bioeconomy.
