New York, January 27, 2022-As announced by Billboard, Reservoir (NASDAQ: RSVR) Founder and CEO Golnar Khosrowshahi will receive the Executive of the Year award at Billboard's 2022 Women In Music Awards. The annual event recognizes music's rising and A-List artists, creators, producers, and executives for their contributions to the industry and community. Hosted by Ciara, the event will be held on Wednesday, March 2 at the YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles, CA and streamed live on Twitter.com/Billboard.
"I want to thank Billboard for this honor on behalf of everyone at Reservoir," said Khosrowshahi. "Since founding the company in 2007, we have been focused on creating new possibilities and value for some of the world's greatest music and artists. As we continue to grow during this exciting time in the music industry, it has been especially gratifying to be recognized as both the first independent music company and the first female-founded and led music company to be publicly traded in the U.S."
As part of the initial lineup of honorees and powerhouse women shaping the music landscape, Billboard also revealed that Phoebe Bridgers will perform at the ceremony and receive the Trailblazer Award. The Trailblazer Award is given to a female artist who acts as a music industry pioneer by using her platform to spotlight unheard voices and break ground for future generations of performers.
