By SAN JOSE, Calif. – September 27, 2011 – RAE Systems, Inc. today announced its field-proven MeshGuard Wireless Gas-Detection System has been integrated into a customizable full-rig monitoring system from RigMinder, Inc., which it delivers to leading drilling-company customers in the oil-and-gas industry. MeshGuard is a rapidly deployable and easy-to-operate wireless detection solution that provides real-time monitoring to keep workers safe, keep companies in complies with regulations and increase project uptime.
The MeshGuard wireless monitors and controller seamlessly integrate into the RigMinder Electronic Drill Recorder (EDR) System to provide continuous, real-time monitoring of up to 24 wireless gas-detection monitors at a time for improved industrial safety.

The EDR-integrated MeshGuard system, currently in use on four rigs in Venezuela, is used to monitor for hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and lower explosive limit (LEL) gases and vapors. It provides industry standard formats, such as RS-485, Modbus and XML (Extensible Markup Language) to allow seamless integration with leading command-and-control software packages, such as RigMinder’s EDR system.
