Quickstep Holdings Limited announced the pending appointment of Patrick Largier as a Non-Executive Director of Quickstep, filling an existing casual vacancy. Mr. Largier will join the Board at the 18th December Board meeting. Patrick is an experienced non-executive director and has over 30 years' executive experience in the oil, chemicals and mining sectors in Australia, the UK and South Africa. Prior to taking up non-executive director roles, he was Managing Director of Ludowici. He led the eventual $350 million sale of the company to Danish group FLSmidth in 2012 and later became Managing Director of FLSmidth Pty Limited. Before this, Mr. Largier spent 15 years in numerous business general manager roles at ICI and Orica's Plastics and Chemicals Groups. His final role in the company was on Orica's Group Executive team as General Manager - Strategy & Acquisitions. Over the past 8 years he has focussed his energies on non-executive director roles. He is currently a non-executive director and chairman of a number of private and private equity companies. Amongst these, he is the Chair of GMA Garnet Group, a global leader in industrial garnet abrasive materials, and a non-executive Director of Murray Irrigation Limited, Australia's largest private environmental and irrigation water supplier. The appointment of Mr. Largier is part of the Quickstep Board renewal process that was announced at the 2018 Annual General Meeting and is the third new appointment in 2019. As part of this Board renewal process, Quickstep has also made two other new Non-Executive Director appointments in 2019, with Ms Leanne Heywood joining the Board in February and Ms Elisabeth Mannes joining the Board in August.
