Manufacturers connecting and collecting data have long struggled with two opposing challenges. On the one hand, there's the challenge of data silos caused by multiple, disparate systems that can't integrate with each other-leading to limited data visibility and share-ability. But on the other hand, there's the challenge of information saturation caused by integrated data that flows-and flows and flows, without filters or context.

Solving one challenge often leads to the other-un-siloing data can create unfettered data flows that are too overwhelming to be actionable. And trying to manage information saturation by keeping data siloed leads to out-of-date, incomplete data, as you work to manually aggregate data and wonder what you're missing.

Breaking down silos-without building a firehouse

These age-old data challenges are complicated further by the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The data connectivity made possible by the IIoT has created more advanced, in-depth data that impacts every level of the manufacturing ecosystem. Missing out on this robust data is even more of a detriment to both the plant floor and the wider business awareness.

Download the Make Decisions at the Speed of Data ebook to learn how manufacturers are making their data actionable and accessible-instead of siloed and overwhelming.

You'll learn how:

  • Manufacturers like you are connecting their entire supply chains-and getting more information on performance than ever before.
  • Real-time data visibility can increase your production and inventory management.
  • Data accuracy and timeliness impacts time-to-decision, budgets, revenue and more.
