PT United Tractors Tbk : The East Kalimantan Provincial Government Grants United Tractors Group with the PROPER Green and Blue for Strong Environmental Management and Community Development

Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia successfully achieved the Green PROPER rating, and United Tractors Samarinda Branch and Balikpapan Branch achieved the Blue PROPER rating.

Jakarta, June 18, 2024- PT Komatsu Remanufacturing Asia (KRA) has successfully improved its ranking to the Green level in the company performance rating program (PROPER) scheme, while PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) Balikpapan and Samarinda Branches have also achieved the Blue PROPER ranking this year from the East Kalimantan (Kaltim) Provincial Government.

This award was given to UT Group for its consistent environmental management and sustainable community development efforts. The award ceremony, which was held at the Gran Senyiur Hotel Balikpapan on Wednesday (12/6/2024), was held in conjunction with the 2024 Environment Day commemoration, which had the theme "Resolving the Climate Crisis with Innovation and Justice Principles."

"It is our pleasure to receive the PROPER rating from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government. With this award, we are committed to improving our environmental performance and positively contributing to the community and the surrounding environment," said Head of Corporate Governance and Sustainability Division Sara K. Loebis.

The Acting Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr. Akmal Malik MSi, presented the award in person, expressed his appreciation, and hoped that the achievement could be maintained and improved.

PROPER is one form of government policy to improve companies' environmental management performance in accordance with regulations. It is also a manifestation of transparency and democratization in environmental management.

The criteria for PROPER assessment are compliance assessment and beyond compliance assessment. The compliance assessment criteria answer the question of the company's compliance with sound environmental management. Environmental documents and reports include water pollution control, air pollution control, and hazardous and toxic waste management.

This achievement further motivates UT Group to consistently implement real actions to make a positive contribution to the environment and society and to ensure a better future for the nation.
