Introducing the Company's Business Process to Students, PT Timah Receives Visits from Dozens of AKIPBA Students

PANGKALPINANG -- PT Timah received a visit from dozens of Bukit Asam Mining Industry Community Academy (AKIPBA) students who broadened their knowledge about tin ore mining and processing at Wisma 88, on Monday (27/5/2024).

Apart from listening to presentations about PT Timah's business processes, the 28 dozen students will visit the Pangkalpinang Tin Museum, the Kampoeng Air Reclamation, the Pemali Big Mine, and the Production Suction Ship.

The arrival of the students, who were accompanied by three lecturers, was welcomed by VP Culture Transformation Lead PT Timah Marliza. On this occasion, Marliza explained that PT Timah is currently continuing to build a good work culture, one of which is about safety. One form of implementation is the existence of safety contacts in every PT Timah activity.

Furthermore, Maliza said that members of the mining industry holding MIND ID PT Timah carry out integrated mining operational activities by implementing good mining practices.

"PT Timah is a tin mining company in Indonesia that carries out integrated tin mining by applying good mining practice principles," explained Marliza.

Marliza also explained the company's vision and mission and tin mining operational activities as students' initial insight before visiting the company's operational area.

"Gather as much information as possible while at PT Timah, and use the opportunity to ask questions during this visit. Take advantage of this opportunity to get information about the tin mining process," he advised. (*)
