BRI Distributes Interim Dividend of Rp8.63 Trillion in 2022

BRI closed the year 2022 by distributing interim dividends of Rp 57 per share, or with a maximum total amount of Rp8.63 trillion after its last interim dividend was recorded back in 2010. This interim dividend is a part of the BRI's commitment to providing economic value to all shareholders, which is expected to provide a frequent stream of cash flow to shareholders while also allowing BRI to manage liquidity more optimally.

Interim Dividend Schedule

The distribution of dividend interim has been

announced through Information Disclosure (30 Dec' 22). The end of the trading period for shares entitled to dividend rights (Cum Dividend) in the regular market and cash market is 9 Jan '23 and 11 Jan '23, respectively, while the recording date is on 11 Jan '23, and the payment date is on 27 Jan '23. This interim dividend will be calculated as part of the total Full Year 2022 dividend.

The decision to distribute an interim dividend was derived from BRI's solid performance in 9M'22, shown by manageable asset quality and double- digit net profit growth. Furthermore, BRI has also successfully maintained adequate liquidity and robust capital.

Commensurate with its strong performance, BRI aims to provide DPS to increase every year. This is shown by the increase in nominal DPS and the plan to disburse higher DPO ratio in the next few years. This started with an 85% dividend payout ratio in 2022 for 2021 profit.
