PRST), a leading supplier of digital offset printing
solutions to the printing and communications industries,
today announced that the company will be exhibiting at Graph
Expo 2012, North America's largest printing trade show
scheduled for October 7th through 10th at McCormick Place in
Chicago. Presstek will be located in Booth #3417 at the
show.
"We are looking forward to once again bringing a good
representation of our portfolio to Graph Expo," said Joe
Demharter, Presstek's Vice President of Sales. "This will be
the first time that many of the products and technologies
will be shown in North America, a terrific opportunity for
those who were unable to attend the recent drupa trade show
in Düsseldorf."
Presstek DI digital offset presses will be the centerpiece of
Presstek's presence at Graph Expo. Visitors to the booth will
experience the ultra-high quality, automation and small
environmental footprint of the 52DI, a 52cm landscape press
that images plates on press in precise register going from
digital file to printed sheet in 10 minutes. The Presstek
52DI prints 10,000 full size sheets per hour, the equivalent
of 333 letter size pages per minute. The booth will also
feature a one tower technology demonstration of the
breakthrough 75DI press which is available in 4- to 10-color
configurations and has the ability to go from digital file to
sellable sheet in six minutes. Presstek DI digital offset
presses feature waterless printing technology, extreme
automation and printing at 300lpi or with stochastic
screening. DI certified pre-owned presses are also available
from Presstek, and visitors to the booth can learn more about
this program. DI certified pre-owned presses offer an
affordable way to enter the growing digital offset printing
market they include installation by Presstek's service
engineers and a new press warranty.
"We will also be showcasing Presstek Virtuoso, our innovative
inline color management and sheet inspection system for the
Presstek 75DI," Demharter added. "In an environment where
automation and elimination of error is critical to business
success, Virtuoso saves time and money and delivers a more
stable print run by performing a complete inspection of each
sheet at full press speed." The development of Virtuoso was
supported by The BIRD Foundation.
