KOCAELI, Turkey - PPG (NYSE: PPG) today announced the completion of a student training and skill-building initiative for the Sehit Volkan Tanturk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Kocaeli, Turkey.

PPG provided support including more than 150 liters of marine coatings for the refurbishment of a marine service boat that will be used for the education of more than 200 students at the school.

'This donation is an important contribution to technical education and training for students in our community,' said Gizem Gurson Impram, PPG HR country coordinator, Turkey. 'It is often a challenge for schools to provide a real-life environment for students to learn and practice. With this boat, shipbuilding students will learn practical skills in maintenance and painting, while maritime students will gain hands-on experience using the engine room and wheelhouse.'

The refurbished boat was launched on the national Commemoration of Ataturk, Youth and Sports Day holiday on May 19 in a ceremony attended by students, teaching staff, and PPG employees.

This donation is part of PPG's global commitment to support education and workforce development initiatives across 35 countries.
