Polycab India Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2021. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was INR 33,719.96 million compared to INR 27,463.4 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 33,936.45 million compared to INR 27,788.43 million a year ago. Net income was INR 3,145.09 million compared to INR 2,625.02 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 16.52 compared to INR 16.36 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 16.5 compared to INR 16.3 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was INR 21.06 compared to INR 17.61 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was INR 21.03 compared to INR 17.54 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was INR 82,337.79 million compared to INR 58,494.93 million a year ago. Revenue was INR 83,068.78 million compared to INR 59,456.41 million a year ago. Net income was INR 5,864.23 million compared to INR 6,006.52 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 34.47 compared to INR 38.17 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was INR 34.32 compared to INR 38.02 a year ago. Basic earnings per share was INR 39.3 compared to INR 40.32 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was INR 39.13 compared to INR 40.16 a year ago.
Polycab India Limited is a manufacturer of wires and cables. The Company is engaged in fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG). The Company operates through three segments: Wires and cables, FMEG and Other. Wire and Cable segment is engaged in the manufacturing and selling of wires and cables. Fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) segment is engaged in fans, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting and luminaires, switches, switchgear, solar products, pumps, conduits, and domestic appliances. Others segment is comprised of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) business, which includes design, engineering, supply of materials, survey, execution and commissioning of power distribution, rural electrification projects on a trunky basis. It is also in the business of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. The Company owns approximately 25 manufacturing facilities, located across the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, and the union territory of Daman.
