Beginning on February 1, 2019 eligible employers are required to post Form 300A , the annual summary of job-related injuries and illnesses, in a workplace common area for 2018. This year's summary must include the total number of job-related injuries and illnesses that occurred in 2018.

THE REQUIRED OSHA REPORTS

Employers must keep a Log (Form 300) for each establishment or site. If you have more than one establishment, you must keep a separate Log and Summary (Form 300A) for each physical location that is expected to be in operation for one year or longer.

Form 300A reports a business's total number of fatalities, missed workdays, job transfers or restrictions, and injuries and illnesses as recorded on Form 300. It also includes the number of employees and the hours they worked for the year. If there were no recordable injuries or illnesses, a company must still post the form, with zeroes on the appropriate lines.

Starting in 2017, many employers will be required to electronically submit their injuries and illnesses records to OSHA. To see if your establishment is required to submit the information, click here. The due date has not been provided for the electronic filing for 2018 data.
