Organización Cultiba, S.A.B. de C.V. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 1,154.716 million compared to MXN 1,909.244 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 18.299 million compared to operating Income of MXN 291.749 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 313.066 million compared to MXN 449.132 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was MXN 0.44 compared to MXN 0.63 a year ago. For the half year, sales was MXN 2,485.718 million compared to MXN 2,975.031 million a year ago. Operating income was MXN 157.591 million compared to MXN 463.132 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 469.815 million compared to MXN 498.413 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was MXN 0.65 compared to MXN 0.69 a year ago.
Organizacion Cultiba SAB de CV (Cultiba) is a Mexico-based holding company principally engaged, together with its subsidiaries, in the beverages industry. The Company has license from Pepsi-Co Inc to produce, distribute and sell mainly the Pepsi Cola, Manzanita Sol, Mirinda, Kas, Gatorade, Lipton, Be Light, Mountain Dew and Seven Up soft drink trademarks. The Company also produces and distributes bottled water under the Trisoda, Santorini and Junghanns brands, among others. In addition, the Company is involved in the production of cane sugar and molasses. The Company owns such subsidiaries as Geusa SA de Tala Electric SA de CV, Agroestevia SA de CV, Geupec Administracion SA de CV, Ingenio Rosales SA de CV and Embotelladora Valle de Oaxaca SA de CV, among others. On August 31, 2013, Cultiba incorporated Grupo Azucarero Mexico SA de CV (GAM) and Controladora de Negocios Azucareros SA de CV (CONASA).
