"Frank is a forward thinking, highly strategic and passionate thought leader who has a proven track record with some of the world's top brands," notes Michael Allen, managing partner at 180LA. "His leadership and global experience will be instrumental as we continue to provide our clients with big ideas that transcend geographical, cultural and media boundaries."

Striefler joins 180LA from Omnicom's global branding and innovation consultancy Wolff Olins, where he worked upstream with clients such as AOL, Activision, Belkin and Skype.

Prior to this, Striefler worked at TBWA\Chiat\Day LA operating between the agency and TBWA\Media Arts Lab, as Director of Media Arts Planning where he helped to educate the network on Media Arts and its impact on the industry. His responsibilities expanded to include delivering insights and Media Arts behavior for clients such as Pepsi, Visa and Infiniti.

Striefler began his career on the agency side, managing global brands such as adidas and Puma, then held a variety of marketing roles at Nike Germany, EA Sports and Wrangler Jeans. Striefler also spent three years building his own brand consultancy, TheBUZZlab, which specialized in cultural branding and communications planning before joining WPP's creative shop Berlin Cameron.

"180 has a history of doing what its name implies: making a 180 degree shift from the tried, tested and obvious and going in the opposite direction," says Striefler. "This way of thinking creates share-worthy ideas that get the world talking, watching, blogging and buying. I'm excited to be a part of such a creative and progressive agency that knows how to market brands successfully in this digital age."
