NV5 Holdings (NVEE) said that it has won an award to provide construction management oversight, third party coordination services, surveying, materials testing, and public outreach support services under a contract package (CP4) covering a 22-mile high-speed railroad stretch within Tulare and Kern Counties in California. The company has entered into a sub-consultancy agreement with HNTB Corporation to share work at a 60/40 split. NV5's portion of the contract is estimated to be between $7 million and $8 million.

The CP4 work will include construction of at-grade, retained fill and aerial sections of the high-speed rail alignment, relocation of four miles of certain existing tracks, construction of waterway and wildlife crossings and roadway reconstructions, relocations and closures.
