Rescues the Survivors off Papua New Guinea
NS United Kaiun Kaisha, Ltd. owns, manages, and operates the bulk carrier NSU QUEST, which found and rescued three people in distress in the Bismarck Sea off Papua New Guinea on September 14, while sailing to Newcastle, Australia.
The three rescued survivors were in good health and were handed over to the Papua New Guinea Maritime Rescue Coordination Center at LAE port in Papua New Guinea on September 15.
Details of the rescue (all in local time) :
MV NSU QUEST (the vessel), while sailing from Japan to Australia, three people in distress were found drifting in the Bismarck Sea off Papua New Guinea.
The vessel rescued and accommodated survivors on board.
The vessel handed over survivors to a boat arranged by Maritime Rescue Coordination Center.
