North American Nickel Inc. is a Canada-based mineral exploration company. The Company's principal business activity is the exploration and development of mineral properties in Greenland and Canada, as well as in Botswana. The Company owns properties in Maniitsoq, Greenland and Ontario, Canada. The Maniitsoq Project is centered on nickel-copper-cobalt-precious metal sulphide occurrences associated with the Greenland Norite Belt (GNB). The project is centered approximately 125-kilometer (km) north of Nuuk, the capital of Greenland, and consists of three contiguous mineral exploration licenses. The Post Creek and Halcyon projects is located approximately 35 km northeast of Sudbury in Norman, Parkin, Alymer and Rathburn townships. The Post Creek property consists of approximately 56 unpatented mining claims covering an area of 912 hectares and the Halcyon property consists of approximately 63 unpatented mining claim units totaling 864 hectares.
