Greece hired banks for the syndicated launch of a new 10-year benchmark bond with maturity in June 2034, with the transaction to be launched in the near future, subject to market conditions, one of the banks said Monday.

The banks hired as joint lead managers are Alpha Bank, Barclays, Citi, Commerzbank, Nomura and Societe Generale.
