Nestle : Nestlé has been included in the 2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index

Nestlé today announces being part of the 2019 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI). This index distinguishes companies committed to transparency in gender reporting and advancing women's equality.
Diversity and inclusion are an integral part of Nestlé's culture and the company is committed to working towards ensuring equal pay and to closing the gender pay gap. To support this, Nestlé has launched several programs over the past years such as flexible working options, childcare support, unconscious bias and gender training as well as mentoring and coaching for women. In addition to that, a new Nestlé Global Maternity Protection Policy granting all women and primary caregiver a minimum of 14 weeks' paid maternity leave in June 2015.

Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg and Founding Chairman of the 30% Club. 'Nestlé's inclusion is a strong indicator to its employees, investors and industry peers alike that it is leading by example to advance ongoing efforts for a truly inclusive workplace.'
Bloomberg's standardized reporting framework offers public companies the opportunity to disclose information on how they promote gender equality across four separate areas - company statistics, policies, community engagement and products and services. Reporting companies that score above a globally-established threshold, based on the extent of disclosures and the achievement of best-in-class statistics and policies, are included in the .

Nestlé S.A. is the world's leading agri-food group. Net sales break down by category of products as follows:
- powdered and liquid beverages (26.7%): soluble coffees (Nescafé and Starbucks brands), coffee in capsules (Nespresso), chocolate drinks (Nesquik, Milo, etc.), tea drinks (Nestea), etc.;
- pet food (20.3%): brands such as Purina, Friskies, Felix, etc.;
- pharmaceutical, nutrition and well-being products (16.4%): nutritional supplements (Resource, Boost, Nutren, Optifast, Peptamen brands, etc.), infant and maternal nutrition products (NAN, illuma, Cerelac, Nido, Gerber), ketogenic beverages (BrainXpert), (Nesquick, Fitness, Cheerios, Lion, etc.), etc.;
- ready meals and seasoning products (12.5%): frozen and chilled dishes (Lean Cuisine, Hot Pockets and Stouffer's brands), soups (Maggi), etc.;

Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Switzerland (1.2%), France (3.8%), the United Kingdom (3.8%), Germany (2.4%), Europe (12.8%), the United States and Canada (35%), China (5.9%), Asia and Oceania (21.4%) and Latin America (13.7%).
