Engineers have completed their work to repair a damaged high voltage electricity cable in Prenton.

The National Grid cable was damaged by a contractor working for another utility and and the emergency repair work in Prenton Road East and Prenton Road West has taken ten weeks to finish.

Robert Williams, Project Manager said: "We're very grateful for the patience that local residents, business owners and road users have shown during our work to repair this vital cable. We've worked hard to complete our work as quickly as possible and we're pleased that we were able to complete our works before the busy festive period got underway."


The damage to the cable did not affecting electricity supplies to homes and businesses.
