Summary

Wearable devices continue to spread at an accelerating pace. Murata offers a variety of compact, low-profile components intended for wearable devices, including various sensors and monolithic ceramic capacitors. Our demonstration will introduce wristband-type and eyeglasses-type wearable devices that incorporate these components.

Wristband-type wearable device demonstration

This demonstration features an original wristband-type wearable device incorporating a communication module and power supply in order to introduce our small-sized components as well as various sensors for detecting the wearer's pulse rate and body surface temperature, differences in elevation and other parameters.

Individual items to be exhibited

  • Barometric pressure sensor
  • Film temperature sensor
  • Compact, low-profile generic components such as monolithic ceramic capacitors
This demonstration introduces our smart eyewear concept model that was fabricated in collaboration with the city of Sabae in Fukui Prefecture. The glasses use a built-in micro-position sensor to enable easy operation of connected devices such as AR displays and smartphones, without a remote control.
