Eldorado, a provider of Benefit Administration systems and services, today announced the continued market appeal and penetration of its Javelina payer platform. Javelina’s rapid adoption can be attributed to the ability to solve complex issues found in today’s healthcare market. Payers are realizing a true return on investment and rapid, lower risk implementation when selecting Javelina to replace their entire aging administration system or to implement individual components to support critical new market initiatives. In addition, Javelina’s technology stack is held up in the industry as best-in-class.

The modern and sophisticated Javelina platform initially went live in 2010 – and in that short five-year time span has gone from zero customers to sixteen – phenomenal growth in an industry where core system replacements occur only after decades of use. Of the sixteen contracted customers, twelve of them are in production today with the remaining four in various stages of implementation. In this calendar year alone, Eldorado has added three new logo customers and an additional customer planning to migrate from its HEALTHpac4 platform. Live customers have experienced implementation timeframes as short as six months to an average of 18 -24 months for full production.

The Javelina customer base is a combination of Third Party Administrators, Carriers and Health Plans. Customers represent membership volumes of over two million.

The Javelina application, which consists of over 20 pre-integrated modules, contains support for full Enrollment & Billing, Claims Processing and Payments, Provider Contracting and Pricing, integrated Consumer Directed Health Plans (CDHP), COBRA and support for ACA marketplace offerings. Many customers have deployed the entire application enterprise while others specific modules as required by their business needs. The majority of customers access the Javelina application as a cloud service relying on Eldorado’s state-of-the art data center and operational processes to ensure service levels are met and a low cost of operation is achieved.

Eldorado’s in-house Professional Services team leads the customers through their implementation projects – often complementing the customers’ internal organizations in the configuration of benefit plans, operational parameters, readiness testing and pre-go live assessment. This deep team of experts, and the seasoned processes employed by Eldorado, assist in de-risking the complexities associated with the installation of new systems regardless of it being a component-based deployment or full system replacement project.

Eldorado, a division of Mphasis, an HP Enterprise company, has a committed product strategy and the backing of its billion-dollar parent organization. Ongoing investment insures Javelina will retain its competitive edge.
