MMA takes delivery of the Mermaid Inscription

The Directors of Mermaid Marine Australia Ltd (MMA) are pleased to announce that the Company has today taken delivery of the Mermaid Inscription, an 87 metre DP-2 Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) from one of Nam Cheong Limited's (NCL) subcontracted yards in China.
The Mermaid Inscription is a diesel electric vessel, fitted with the capability of dynamic positioning and fire fighting class 1. The vessel is configured with 1,000 m2 of open deck cargo capacity and under deck bulk storage to meet the latest requirements of the Oil and Gas offshore drilling and construction industries.
The vessel was purchased from Nam Cheong International Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NCL, and is named after the Cape Inscription Lighthouse on Dirk Hartog Island, Western Australia.
It is expected that the Mermaid Inscription will commence operations on the North West Shelf of
Australia in or about March 2013.
MMA Managing Director, Mr. Jeff Weber, said of the new vessel: "The purchase and delivery of the Mermaid Inscription is in line with MMA's strategy to expand our PSV fleet to provide expanded offshore drilling, construction and production support to our clients' oil and gas projects."
