Kyiv, November 15, 2017 - Milkiland publishes the results for the nine months of 2017

In 9 months 2017 Milkiland put an additional efforts aimed at preserving of profitability of the business by selling of high value-added dairy, as well as at the entering of new export markets and catching the opportunities of profitable international trade in the global dairy market.

In particular, growing global demand and prices for butter triggered Milkiland to find the new markets for butter in Israel, by selling this product, which passed the kosher treatment, as well as in the Netherlands and Denmark. The Group supported the sales of dry milk products in the traditional market of Kazakhstan and opened the new destinations of sales of these products, as well as different types of cheese, to several European countries.

As the result, Milkiland made another significant step to overcome the crisis of 2014-2016.

The Group managed to stay on track of positive dynamics of the Group's financials.

The Group's EUR-denominated revenue in 9m 2017 declined by 6% y-o-y to EUR 105.7 million, but the gross profit of Milkiland rose by 26% to c. EUR 21 million, also fueled by the lower costs.

Better profitability of the business in nine months of the current year in comparison with the same period of 2016, was reflected in the growth of EBITDA by 54% to c. EUR 8.2 million. At the same time, EBITDA margin improved by 3.0 pp. to 7.7%.

This also led to generation of c. EUR 4.6 million of net profit in nine months of 2017 contrary to the loss of c. EUR 24.8 million in the same period of the last year.
